Meet The Chef
Chef Clara Silverman, founder and Executive Chef of Clara Cooks, was born and raised in Los Angeles. The cultures and cuisines the city offers provided a wide range of flavors and experiences. Resulting in her love and desire to become a chef.
Her fondest childhood memories comprise of baking cakes with her sisters and cooking Thanksgiving dinners with her grandmother—paving the foundation for her passion. Clara realized the true magic of cooking wasn’t about the ingredients or technique, but the outcome it had to bring her family together. This simple yet impactful theme played an integral role in her success as she chose to pursue a career in culinary arts.
Clara honed her craft while attending Johnson & Wales University’s culinary program, graduating with honors. From there, she continued her growth. Her expertise and background consists of cooking in high-end restaurants, running numerous catering events and hosting pop-up dinner parties. Clara has also been endorsed as a culinary ambassador for brand partnerships, along with food styling for a handful of “big name” food products. Her most recent long term venture was cooking privately for a celebrity family as their in-home personal chef.
Her commitment to fantastic flavors and bringing people together through food is the reason why Clara Cooks was established. She hopes to share her passion for cooking with you or your loved ones.
